As you may be aware, New Delhi is now the second largest mega city in the world and boasts of 25 excellent specialist hospitals alone. India has become a Medical Tourism destination for surgical procedures, joint replacement, executive health checks and IVF treatment. Healthcare facilities in these hospitals are upgraded ones and as many Indian Doctors abroad have returned home to practice in India because of the best healthcare system treatment, cost efficiency and availability of world class equipment for use.

The price points here are extremely competitive and are less than a quarter of the cost of the same medical treatment available in the West. The slogan thus is "First World treatment at Third World Prices". The cost differential across board is huge: only a tenth or sometimes sixteenth of the cost in the West. e.g Open-heart surgery could cost up to $70,000 in the UK and up to $ 150,000 in the US; but in India's best hospitals it could cost between $ 3000 and $ 10,000.
